The Badlands Angus Alliance is a partnership that we formed in 2018 with our friends and like-minded Angus producers, Strommen Ranch and Best Angus. Our goal from the beginning of this partnership was to offer marketing opportunities for our commercial customers, for their source and genetic verified females that have been influenced by Talkington, Strommen, and Best genetics. With our combined resources, and marketing assistance from Stockmen’s Livestock Exchange in Dickinson, ND, we are committed to helping our customers add value to their females. Since our inception in 2018, we annually market our customers bred heifers, along with coming two-year old bulls every December in Dickinson. We are proud to have built this into the premier source for bred females in western North Dakota. In January 2024, we added a second phase to the Badlands Angus Alliance, implementing a replacement heifer calf sale, consisting of our customers replacement quality heifer calves. These heifers qualify to be returned and sold through the December bred heifer sale if bred to Talkington, Strommen, or Best bulls, or would make a great set of replacements to breed and keep in your own herd.
